Camp/Clinic Events

What do I need for a BKXperience 1-Day clinic?

Since the BKXperience 1-Day clinics are only part of one day, less is required to participate! Aside from paying your  clinic fee, see below for the list of needed items for each section.

BRASS & WOODWINDS
Please bring your own instrument, a water jug, sunscreen, and athletic shoes with clothing that permits movement in warm weather.  Consider a hat and sunglasses as well!

PERCUSSION
Please bring sticks and/or mallets, a water jug, and athletic shoes with clothing that permits movement. Front ensemble percussion instruments will be provided. Battery and applicable front ensemble are highly encouraged to bring a practice pad if not able to bring your own drum.

COLOR GUARD
Please bring your own 6′ flag, a water jug, and athletic shoes with clothing that permits movement. Gloves are optional.

May my parents come to a BKXperience camp or clinic event?

Yes, parents may observe the clinic.  Parents are also more than welcome to join our team of volunteers for Drums Along the Rockies!  Parents should use the camp volunteer signup on our Current Volunteer Requests page, and will need to submit proof of vaccination.

What do I do about eating before a camp?

You should try to eat before the clinic begins.

At our 1-day clinics, there will be a break for lunch and dinner where food will be provided.

When does the BKX - Perform clinic start and end?

Our clinic will begin with registration at 8:00 am and a welcome meeting at 9:00 am.  The 1-day clinic typically concludes at 7:00 pm.

Can I register the day of the event?

We highly encourage registering ahead of time as this enables us to better prepare for the number of attendees and ensure we have adequate staff, instrumentation and food available.

I have a specific question about accommodations at camp not answered here, where can I ask?

Please feel free to reach out to info@ascendperformingarts.org, and we’ll be happy to help answer any questions or discuss accommodations!
